Frequently Asked Questions

This site is a pet project of mine, from different perspectives and with multiple goals. Meigs County Ohio is full of amateur musicians who can set any night alight with their own flavor.

Perspectives and Goals:

One, I can never figure out where any of my friends in Meigs county are playing without surfing all over the damned place.  Second, I never know what Meigs County venue might be hosting someone I've never seen play before but want to check out if I have the time.  Again, it'd be nice to do that without surfing all over the damned place a week in advance or night-of. 

I want somewhere we all can go to find these details in one place.  I see development in phases. 

Phase one, try to put together pages of links for different bands and venues that point to whatever their preferred method of communication is.  So, if I feel like seeing a band, or if I feel like going to a specific venue if "my bands" are out of town -- I can find out without wandering all across the Internet and social media.

Phase two, start incorporating schedules and calenders from all Meigs musicians and venues, into one place you can click on a date and find out what's going on with anyone and anywhere that you've got time to go listen.

Phase three, I start getting paid for this shit and can retire and still buy more musical toys ;-)

Hah, this one could be complex - but I am making it pretty simple.  

For venues, obviously, located within the geographical boundaries of Meigs County Ohio.

For bands, and any other performance act (marching bands, theater, comedy, whatever entertainment is going on around here) the rules are also simple and inclusive:  If any member of your troupe lives here, or grew up here, or even if you just perform here and would like to participate, then you're in.
